GUEST SPEAKERS

As the Chief Shepherd of souls within the Diocese of Pueblo the bishop is responsible for protecting and assuring the reputation, integrity and unity of the Catholic Faith. For that reason an individual from outside the Diocese who is invited by a Catholic entity, parish or group associated with the Diocese for a presentation representing the Catholic faith or moral Tradition of the Church requires the prior approval of the Bishop. (Code of Canon Law, Can. 386 §2)

The Diocese of Pueblo has developed a Speaker Approval Process to vet and approve proposed speakers. Our goal is to ensure that all presenters: [1] are adequately prepared, [2] have appropriate qualifications and [3] have completed the requirements necessary for the protection of minors.
